About Us…

TFR Miniature Cattle/Twisted F Ranch & Cattle Co. is a family-operated mixed farm in northeastern Saskatchewan. Proudly owned by Alexa & Cole Hiebert.

The letter F in our name represents our strong emphasis on family values and traditions passed down through generations.

As a fourth-generation farmer and agronomist at the local Synergy AG, Cole brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our operations. Alexa is a fifth-generation farmer and student of beef production and cattle management. She is fully immersed in the day-to-day management of the ranch and will usually be your first point of contact.

In November 2021, we embarked on an exciting journey to bring home our founding herd and the first Miniature & Micro Miniature Highland & Highpark cattle into Canada from the remarkable Laura Marsh's RCM Miniature Cattle Company (Colorado) & Kristi Howie’s Diamond B Ranch (South Dakota).

After years of planning and collaboration with these established breeders, we carefully selected six exceptional heifers and a remarkable micro mini bull named Bear.

Located 20 minutes outside of Melfort, our ranch's serene surroundings offer an ideal environment for raising miniature cattle. TFR Miniature Cattle is not merely a business venture for us—it is a passion that drives us to provide the utmost care and attention to every aspect of our operations. From breeding and healthcare to nutrition and overall well-being, we go above and beyond to ensure the longevity and success of our miniature cattle.

As you explore our ranch, you may come across our Bernese Mountain Dog, Charlie, the unofficial welcoming committee. As well as our two Border Collies, Renn & Tess. You'll find horses, llamas, and a friendly herd of cats among our other animal companions. Our furry friends contribute to the vibrancy and charm of our ranch, providing an idyllic sanctuary where our miniature cattle thrive.

At Twisted F Ranch, we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of fostering strong relationships with both our customers and our cattle. We are committed to providing personalized service and support to anyone interested in adding one of our miniature calves to their family.

As the spring of 2024 draws nearer, we eagerly await the arrival of our future calves.
